The Coronavirus app is a travel & navigation web app that shows real-time updates on the Coronavirus. Using data from various credible sources like the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the platform displays the current number of COVID-19 cases, along with known deaths and recoveries. You will also see when these numbers were last updated. Various maps show the number of known Coronavirus infections per region. The circles on the map represent the number of people infected in the area. Once you hover over the circle, you will see the region’s exact number of cases.
Coronavirus at a glance
The Coronavirus.app was developed by three ex-pats living in Taiwan. They had begun the app’s development when the number of cases began to grow. This map & GPS app has now become a transparent way to share information about Coronavirus. In a glance, you will see a World Map prominently displayed on your screen. The right-hand side of the map shows the total number of reported cases from around the world. It also features the total number of cases per country, listed down in descending order.
When you click a country on either the map or the list, a new window will appear. This window will display the country’s map and insights related to Coronavirus in that country. The statistics are shown in this window help you understand the spread of infection in that nation. You will also be presented with graphs that help you compare the total number of cases to reported deaths and recoveries.
While the Coronavirus.app is not an official app of any organization, the developers have diligently gathered information on the disease from various international sources. The data and statistics displayed on this platform have matched the reports made by healthcare professionals worldwide. You can use this application to understand the state of your country and the world at a glance.
